February 11, 2011… of those in charge at Wikipedia. It’s well known that Wikipedia’s founders, including Jimmy Wales himself, don’t like the term “crowdsourcing”. You get the feeling that many Wikipedia enthusiasts view the dictionary as collaboration, but see distributed work as exploitation. Jimmy Wales’ and Larry Sanger’s little helpers have tapped out over 3 million English language articles in under a decade (and kicked off a few never ending disputed page wars but hey, every century has its ups and downs).
